McCullough Coverup began with a simple problem and a practical solution. In 1988, Mr. McCullough, a seasoned contractor, was tired of the slow, labor-intensive process of backfilling trenches. So he built a trench cover for himself, and fellow contractors immediately took notice. What started as a single unit built in a garage quickly grew into something bigger. Word spread among irrigation and utility professionals who needed the same efficiency and reliability.

 Before long, Mr. McCullough moved operations from his garage to a repurposed bowling alley in Mount Pleasant, Texas, where full-scale manufacturing began. In 2018, Billy Mars took over the business, bringing fresh energy while staying true to the craftsmanship and contractor-focused innovation that built the McCullough reputation.

Today, we continue that legacy, engineering trench covers that solve real problems for real contractors.
